After an off-season of race date announcements shifting the series more towards that of an Indycar side-show (which is a good thing, for the most part, I believe) and a re-branding to call the series Formula Off-Road, 2014 has arrived for the drivers of Robby Gordon's truck series.
The series opened up with a pair of races at St. Petersburg, using the same course that the Indycar series used. Race one featured wet conditions, while race two was dry. No spoilers, but both races were very interesting for different reasons.
Gordon's Formula Off-Road series has already completed it's third race of the season, which took place at Long Beach. That race aired last night (an insane 1:30 AM air date for the East Coast, but great prime time slot for the West Coast), and I will assume it will hit YouTube from the official account soon.
The next scheduled race is May 23rd, with Stadium Super Trucks (yes, despite the series name change, the trucks are still called the same) racing on Carb Day at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Detroit's Belle Isle Grand Prix will feature races on both May 30th and June 1st. Then the biggest potential race of the series' short history, a race at ESPN's X-Games in Austin on June 8th. After a weekend in Toronto with the Indycar series (July 19th & 20th), the schedule gets much more up in the air.
Currently it shows a three-day weekend in Costa Mesa and San Diego (September 19th, 20th, and 21st), and finishing the season in Vegas on November 7th. More dates could be added or dates taken off the board. The schedule was fluid for the second half of the 2013 as the series went from renting NFL stadiums to joining Indycar and Off-Road Racing schedules.
Enjoy the first two races of the year, definitely worth a watch.

Yea, they tried it last year, and nobody showed up, unfortunately. They have a full archive of 2013, and plenty of great stadium courses. Hoping they can get back to it.
